Corporate Art Exposed
Colorado businesses reveal their private art collections at Corporate Collections ‘08

DENVER – Brookfield Properties, in cooperation with the Colorado Council on the Arts, announces the 12th Annual presentation of Corporate Collections ‘08, to be held at Republic Plaza February 13 – April 16, 2008. This exhibit is unparalleled, showcasing exceptional art on loan from the collections of 20 companies, from small businesses to major corporations.

"Corporate Collections is a unique annual opportunity for Colorado businesses to share with the general public the diversity of fine art they present in their office environments throughout the year,” said Patrick Hilleary, Vice President of Operations at Brookfield Properties.

The Opening Reception, hosted by the Colorado Council on the Arts, will be held on Friday, March 7, and will honor special guests Christo and Jeanne-Claude. The internationally renowned artists will share their vision for Over The River, Project for the Arkansas River, State of Colorado, a temporary work of art that is planned for Colorado during two weeks in summer 2012. The artists will suspend 5.9 miles of silvery, luminous fabric panels high above the water of the Arkansas River at eight aesthetically selected areas along a 40-mile stretch between Salida and Cañon City. The artists will loan, to the Corporate Collections Exhibition, two Over The River preparatory works of art created by Christo. As with all of their previous works of art, Over The River is financed entirely by Christo and Jeanne-Claude through the sale of Christo’s original works. The artists do not accept donations or sponsorships of any kind. Further details about the Reception will be forthcoming.
