When the Colorado Council on the Arts was established in 1967, the assigned statutory duties included “assisting the communities and organizations within the state in originating and creating their own cultural and artistic programs.” One way CCA addresses this responsibility is to offer grants and services that help build the operational capacity and financial stability of artists and organizations. This includes grant writing assistance, professional development for board and staff, long-range planning assistance, customized consulting services, referrals and opportunities for networking.
